Well it looks like construction is slowing down while we get all of the electrical in order. We found out that a lot of the kitchen cabinets have mold now. We are planning to get new cabinets for the whole kitchen rather than just replacing the rotten ones. That way the kitchen will be a little more up to date.
Looks like we have to replace the dry wall around here too.

Last weekend we took out the wall that separates the kitchen from he dinning room. I'm so excited. This will really open things up.
I think Mike had a little too much fun taking down the wall. I mean how often do you get to kick down a wall.

Day 3

I'm finally getting around to putting up our 3rd day working on the house.
The gutters were in desperate need of a cleaning so Mike went up there to clean them out. I'm afraid of heights so I watched.
The ladies took out the wallpaper while the men took out the fireplace.
Getting there!
All that rubble!
Once the fireplace was all taken out we cleaned up the rubble. So dusty!

Day 2

Yesterday I remember to bring my camera. We started to pull out the old nasty carpet. We had to wear masks because it was that bad. It was a lot of work but we made really good time.
Here are some before pictures:
This is the dinning room

The hallway to the bedrooms

Here's the basement

We started with the dinning room.

And on to the living room

We found this under the carpet in the basement just outside the half bath.

All that carpet! The house smells so much better with the carpet out.

Day 1

On Friday we finally closed on the new house!
We know there are issues with the water not holding pressure so we did an air test before we turn on the water. Unfortunately I forgot my camera that day. So here's a picture of the front of the house!
